Profile

Two curricula,
26 months overlapping

I took a Computer Programming degree at Karabük Üniversitesi and went through the Common Core at École 42 Kocaeli at the same time — two full curricula running in parallel for most of their length. That is where the discipline came from, and the habit of scheduling work against a deadline I did not set.

42 has no lectures and no teachers: you read unfamiliar systems until they make sense, then defend the result in peer review. I still work that way. Give me a problem and I will take it end to end — architecture, implementation, database, deployment — and I would rather own the whole path than wait to be handed a spec for part of it.

  • A REST API in Django REST Framework, with WebSockets carrying low-latency game state and live chat.
  • Docker Compose for the whole stack, so development and production ran the same environment.
  • PostgreSQL tuned for the stateful side of the product: profiles, match history and global rankings.
  • Built under Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, and code quality held up by rigorous peer review.

  • An IRC server written from scratch, speaking the protocol well enough for real HexChat clients to connect.
  • Command handling, message routing between users and channels, and the socket programming underneath it.
  • Real-time parsing and threading logic, where the hard part is what happens when input arrives half-formed.

Inception of Things — GitOps infrastructure

  • A multi-node K3s cluster provisioned with Vagrant, with separate control planes and workers to mirror a production distributed environment.
  • A GitOps pipeline through ArgoCD: deployment and synchronisation between GitHub manifests and the cluster fully automated.
  • Nginx Ingress controllers configured for traffic routing, SSL termination and external access to containerised services.
  • Modular Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests, so deployments are standardised and the infrastructure state stays declarative.
  • Automated rollouts and health monitoring, cutting manual intervention out of the release path.
